The Procedure

Lip Blush is a sophisticated semi-permanent treatment designed to enhance the natural beauty of your lips. Using specialised precision needles, Sahar delicately deposits high-quality pigment into the lip tissue to create a soft, "blushed" look — never a hard, opaque lipstick effect. Whether you want to define a fading outline, correct mild unevenness, or add a youthful flush of colour, this procedure is the ultimate "gloss and go" solution.

Your session begins with a shade consultation, where Sahar analyses your natural lip tone and skin undertone to custom-blend a pigment that will heal true on your complexion. A strong numbing agent is applied and topped up throughout, and the treatment itself takes around 2 to 2.5 hours. The colour is built in delicate layers, so the intensity is controlled precisely — you decide between a whisper of tint or a fuller, lipstick-adjacent finish during your consultation.

The Benefits of Lip Blushing

This treatment is far more than a simple colour change; it is a restorative process that addresses several common concerns:

  • Colour Correction: We specialise in warming and evening mildly dark or dull lip tones for a healthier, more even appearance. For significantly dark or cool-toned lips, our dedicated Lip Neutralization treatment prepares the canvas first.
  • Restoring Definition: As we age, the natural pigment at the lip border fades and the outline softens. Lip blush restores that lost definition, making lips appear fuller without filler.
  • Symmetry & Balance: Sahar's trained artistic eye transforms uneven lip shapes into a perfectly balanced frame — subtle corrections that make a visible difference.
  • Low-Maintenance Beauty: Healed lip blush means no daily lip liner, no reapplying after meals, no lipstick on teeth. A swipe of clear gloss and you're done.

Your Personalized Shade

You can choose from a wide palette of soft nudes, dusty pinks, warm roses, or vibrant corals — and Sahar refines your chosen direction against your skin's undertone so the healed colour flatters rather than fights your complexion. The goal is always a natural stain, not a tattooed block of colour: the kind of finish where people notice you look fresh and polished, not that you've had a treatment. Once healed, a touch of clear gloss is all you need for a complete daily look.

The Healing Journey

  • Day 1: Lips are swollen and the colour looks bold and bright — think "just applied lipstick." Swelling settles within 24–48 hours.
  • Days 2–3: Colour deepens and darkens before the skin begins to exfoliate. Keep lips moisturised with the provided balm only.
  • Days 3–5: Light peeling. Do not pick or bite the flaking skin — let it shed naturally to protect the pigment underneath.
  • Weeks 1–3 (The "Ghost" Stage): Colour appears very light, almost gone. This is the stage clients panic about — don't. The pigment is settling beneath fresh skin.
  • Weeks 3–6 (The Bloom): Colour re-emerges softly and evenly, revealing your true healed shade — a natural, lasting tint.

Pre-Treatment Care

Your safety and the integrity of your results are our top priorities:

  • Cold Sore Prevention: If you have ever suffered from cold sores, it is essential to complete a course of anti-viral medication prior to your appointment. The treatment can trigger an outbreak in prone clients, which disrupts healing and the final colour. Please inform us of any cold sore history at your consultation so we can guide your preparation.
  • Skip fillers and exfoliants: No lip filler within 4 weeks of your session, and pause lip scrubs and acid-based products the week before.
  • Arrive hydrated: Well-moisturised, healthy lips take pigment more evenly — use a nourishing balm daily in the week leading up to your appointment.

Why Choose Getlashed for Lip Blush in Pakistan?

Lip work is the most colour-sensitive treatment in semi-permanent makeup — the difference between a natural bloom and an unnatural result comes down to the artist's command of colour theory on your specific skin tone. At Getlashed, every lip blush treatment is performed personally by Sahar using pigments selected and blended for South Asian complexions, sterile single-use needles, and a strict hygiene protocol. And if your lips need neutralization before blush colour can shine, we'll tell you honestly at consultation rather than treating over a base that isn't ready.

Sahar's Tip

Lip Blush is about bringing life back to the face. I focus on selecting the perfect undertone to compliment your skin, ensuring that your lips look naturally blooming and revitalized rather than 'tattooed.'

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does lip blush last?

Lip blush typically lasts 2–3 years before a colour refresh is needed. Lips regenerate faster than other skin, so the tint fades gradually and evenly over time rather than changing colour. Sun exposure, smoking, and exfoliating lip products can shorten longevity.

Does lip blush hurt?

A strong topical numbing agent is applied before and throughout the session, so most clients describe the feeling as light scratching or vibration rather than pain. Lips are more sensitive than brows, but the treatment is very manageable — many clients are surprised how comfortable it is.

Can lip blush lighten dark lips?

Lip blush adds colour and evenness, and mild darkness can often be warmed within a lip blush session. However, significantly dark, cool-toned, or hyper-pigmented lips need dedicated colour correction first — that's our Lip Neutralization treatment, which prepares the canvas before a blush shade is applied.

How long do lips take to heal after lip blush?

The visible healing is quick: expect swelling for the first day, deep colour for days 1–3, light peeling around days 3–5, and a soft 'ghost' stage where colour looks very light before it blooms back around weeks 3–4. Full healed colour is visible by week 6.

What do I need to do before my appointment?

If you have ever had a cold sore, a course of anti-viral medication before your session is essential — the treatment can trigger an outbreak in prone clients, and prevention protects your healed result. Also keep lips well moisturised the week before, and avoid fillers within 4 weeks of your appointment.

Can I wear lipstick after lip blush?

Yes — once fully healed (about 4–6 weeks), you can wear any lip product as normal. Most clients find they no longer need daily lipstick; a clear gloss over the healed tint gives a polished, finished look on its own.
